Pakistna Win 2nd ODI by 1 wicket: Took 2-0 Lead Series Against Afghanistan

Pak vs Afg played the Second ODI at Hambantota. Pakistan won this trilling match by 1 Wicket till the last over.

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first and playing full 50 over scored 300 runs losing 5 wickets in response Pakistan scored 302 runs with 1 wicket remaining.

Gurbaz And Zadran Played Brilliant Innings

Gurbaz and Zadran started the opening partnership of 227 runs, Gurbaz scored 151 runs in 151 balls and Zadran scored 80 runs in 101 balls. Zadran first wicket fell o 227 runs which was taken by Usama Mir. Gurbaz’s wicket taken by Sheheen Afridi. Nabi Scored 29 runs , Rashid Khan scored 2 runs and shaheedullah got out after scoring 1 run. Shahidi remained not out after after scoring 15 runs and Abdul Rehman scored 4 runs.

Pak Bowling Failed

Pakistan’s bowling failed to stop Afghanistan from scoring big. Shaheen Afridi took the most wickets from Pakistan. He got 2 wickets for 58 runs, after that Naseem Shah and Usama Mir got 1-1 wickets.

Century Partnership between Imam ul Haq and Babar Azam

When Pakistan came out to bat, they lost the first wicket in the form of Fakhar Zaman, he was dismissed for 30 runs, he was bowled by Fazal Haq Farooqi. After this, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam shared a 118-run partnership.Pakistan lost their 2nd wicket on 170 runs in the form of Babar Azam. he was dismissed at 52 runs. Farooqi also got this wicket. After that wickets kept falling. Mohammad Rizwan got out after scoring 2 runs , Agha Salman 14 run, Usama Mir 0 run and Iftikhar Ahmed 17 runs.
In the end, Shadab Khan came at number 7 and changed the course of the match. Shadab Khan played an inning of 51 runs on 66 balls. Shadab brought match close , but was run out on the second ball of the last over. After this Naseem Shah scored 7 runs in 4 balls and won the match.
Spinner Fazal Haq Farooqi got 3 wickets from Afghanistan , Mohammad Nabi got 2 wicket and Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Abdul Rahman got 1-1 wicket.

Pakistan Won in the first match

Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 142 runs in the first match of the three- match ODI series. Bating first, the Pakistan team scored 201 runs in 47.1 Overs. At the same time, the Afghanistan team was all out for just 59 runs in 19.2 overs.

Afghanistan’s biggest score against Pakistan

Afghanistan registered the highest score against Pakistan in ODI. Earlier, the highest score was 257 runs in 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
