The Monroeville Eagles football team defeated the Lakota Raiders 27-7 on Friday night, ending a 10-game losing streak.
The Eagles were led by running backs Evan Benfer and Landen Roeder, who combined for 288 yards rushing. Benfer scored two touchdowns, while Roeder had one.
Quarterback Blake Schaub also had a big game, completing 5 of 9 passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles’ defense was also impressive, holding the Raiders to just 140 total yards.
