Patriots to give Jacoby Brissett a second chance: will they draft Marvin Harrison Jr.?

The New England Patriots are reportedly preparing to sign quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who backed up Tom Brady in 2016 when they won the Super Bowl, and could possibly draft wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. next month.

Brissett, 31, could also once again be the backup in New England if they instead decided to draft a rookie quarterback with the third overall selection. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN was the first to report the reunion.

After a single season with the Patriots, then-head coach Bill Belichick traded Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts, where he has spent the most time throughout his NFL career.

Brissett has played for the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Washington Commanders. He only lasted a single season at each location.
